We are very pleased to announce that for the third consecutive year, thanks to the generosity of our guests reviews, Airbnb has given us the title of superhost, following 93% of 5-star reviews.
Such a goodness of judgments encourages us to continue to give our best in the future!
From today we have added a new apartment to Lavanda & Rosmarino.
50 square meters, has a large bedroom, a lounge with kitchenette and a spacious bathroom. Perfect for two people, it can accommodate a child by adding a cot or a folding bed in the bedroom.
The apartment also has all the features required to accommodate disabled guests. In the next spring, a little garden equipped with an outdoor dining table will be ready.
In the recent weeks I have been to several meetings with local tour operators experiencing a widespread disillusionment with our institutions about the problem of last year’s earthquake. Once again our politicians are uninterested in the problem by going into total confusion, probably forgetting that one of the major sources of income of the Umbria region is tourism. There are even rumors that the Ministry of Education has issued a statement inviting all the Italian schools not to organize, for security reasons, school trips in Umbria and Marche!
No technical information likely to reassure all those who plan to come and spend their holidays here on the fact that much of this area was not touched by the earthquake. Orvieto, but also Todi, Spoleto, Perugia, Assisi has suffered no damage neither to the people nor to buildings and monuments, partly to be far from the epicenter, in part due to the different geological formation of the ground in the south-western part of the region.
We can therefore imagine how our Australian friends, or Japanese, or Canadians who annually come to visit us, in the absence of detailed information have remained uncertain in deciding this year to come and visit us.
An extremely serious aspect of this position taken by the institutions, which once again demonstrates the inadequacy of our leaders, is not to understand that a campaign on tourism would contribute more revenue to allocate funds to rehabilitate the affected areas, helping to make them start in less time with tourism activities.
As always we have seen only spontaneous initiatives, blogs, websites, various testimonials to spread correct information.
From Lavanda e Rosmarino then we ask you once again: come to Umbria!!!
